Through innovation, collaboration and forward thinking we can give back and help others

In 2011 Jana Vodesil-Baruffi, an acclaimed artist whose work has been exhibited around the world, began a quest to express her artistic passions in a task which would see her invest 3 years of collaboration with the most contemporary of women in Western Australia.

Permanent Impressions, a salute to contemporary heroines, is Jana’s beautiful collection of work depicting 50 women in a thoughtful and thought-provoking pose, celebrates the achievements of Western Australian women who have made a significant contribution to the Western Australian community and the Australian nation at large.  In an unexpected way, the portraiture of these women became a motivational force in Jana’s own life.  During the artistic process she discovered the inner passion, resilience, courage and determination inherent within her subjects, ignite a long time aspiration within herself.  This aspiration was founded on a strong belief that through artistic expression she, and others could make a significant and positive difference in people’s lives. Jana’s aspiration was to create Paintings for a Cause.

Paintings for a Cause aims to provide opportunities and support to artists so they can come closer to realising their potential and sustain a living.  We see by providing support to artists, they in turn will have the opportunity to give back and enrich the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people in our communities.   Through collaboration with other artists, educators, corporate and charity partners along with the wider community, we will be able to target fundraising projects where the benefits will go directly to enriching the lives and services to disadvantaged and vulnerable people.  In a collaboration of expression, we want to help artists, help others...... we want to give back.
